How to Use
What is a Whois lookup?
A Whois lookup queries the public RDAP network for a domain registration record. It returns the registrar, registration dates, nameservers, statuses and abuse contact.
How to use it
1. Enter a domain such as example.com.
2. Click Lookup.
3. Read the registrar, registration and expiration dates.
4. Review the domain status badges, nameservers and abuse email.
How it works
- Uses rdap.org, which redirects to the authoritative registry endpoint.
- Domain not found shows a not-found message.
- Network failures and timeouts produce a readable error.
Tips
- RDAP is the modern replacement for the older WHOIS protocol.
- The result helps verify domain ownership, expiry and registrar contact.
- Use it to check availability or due dates before renewing a domain.
Privacy
Domain names are sent to public RDAP endpoints for lookup.
